Music Ministry

Welcome to the music ministry at Hope Lutheran Church. We have a dedicated group of musicians who help to create meaningful worship for all people at our services. We enjoy our time together and spend our rehearsals growing in faith and musicianship. If you desire to be a part of our team of musicians, please let me know and we will find the right spot for you. I hope that the music we make creates a deeper connection in your relationship with our father.

Praise Team

The Hope Praise team is a group of musicians who provide music for our 9:00 worship. This group plays a wide variety of music for the service. You can hear anything from traditional hymns with a modern take, bluegrass, contemporary Christian music, oldies, Beatles, and so much more.

Chancel Choir

The Adult Choir at Hope is for adults who want to share their gift of singing with the congregation at the 11:00 service. We rehearse and have fellowship weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:05 and present a musical offering each Sunday during the months of September-May. In addition to our weekly offerings, we present a special December offering that is usually accompanied by a chamber orchestra from the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. These offerings have included Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi’s Gloria.

Flute Choir

The Hope flute choir is for flutists who share their gifts with the congregation. We meet bimonthly for rehearsal and fellowship. We offer our special music to the 11:00 service and accompany other musical selections throughout the year.

Children’s Choir

The Hope Children’s Choir is for children in 1st Grade-6th Grade. We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 in the choir room for music, fun, and games. We spend time growing in faith as we pray together and serve the people of our congregation through our music.

Chime Choir

The Hope Chime Choir is for children in 1st Grade- 6th Grade who want to play handchimes. We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-5:30 in the choir room. We work on reading notes and rhythms and learn how to play as a group. No prior music reading is necessary.
